At the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show, the Denza Z9GT was officially unveiled, marking the official entry of this large electric sedan into the public eye. The Denza Z9GT offers two power systems: pure electric version and plug-in hybrid version. The pre-sale prices are: 359,800 yuan and 389,800 yuan for the pure electric version, and 339,800 yuan to 419,800 yuan for the plug-in hybrid version. It is expected to be launched and delivered in late September.
The Denza Z9GT adopts a new design language, and the front face is simple and elegant. The headlight group is slender and equipped with LED daytime running lights. The plug-in hybrid version adds an active air intake grille above the license plate frame, and the front surround has a black horizontal trim. The tail design continues the fastback style, equipped with a hollow spoiler and an active rear wing, and the rear surround has a body-colored trim.
In terms of size, the length, width and height of the Denza Z9GT are 5180/1990/1500 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3125 mm. Body design details include hidden door handles, optional CLA scroll-style seat length adjustment function for the rear row, etc.
Interior configuration: luxurious and comfortable
The interior design of the Denza Z9GT is similar to that of the Denza N7, with wood grain panels and a large-size floating central control screen. The vehicle is equipped with a full LCD instrument, a co-pilot entertainment screen and a metal-style panel. In terms of seats, both the front and rear rows support electric adjustment and are equipped with heating, ventilation and massage functions. The co-pilot seat provides zero-gravity adjustment and is equipped with a boss key. The front and rear seats are also equipped with a refrigerator for heating and cooling, with a capacity of 4 liters for the front refrigerator and 10 liters for the rear refrigerator.
Power system: efficient and powerful
The Denza Z9GT is built on the “Yisanfang” intelligent control technology platform. The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 152 kilowatts, and is equipped with a front motor of 200 kilowatts and two motors on the rear axle with 240 kilowatts each. The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 38.512 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a comprehensive range of over 1,100 kilometers when fully fueled and fully charged, and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 5.6 liters per 100 kilometers in the feeding state.
The pure electric version is equipped with three motors, 230 kW for the front axle and 480 kW for the rear axle. The pure electric version is equipped with a 100.096 kWh battery pack, and the four-wheel drive version has a CLTC working range of 630 kilometers, supporting dual-gun DC charging.
The entire series is equipped with independent steering of the rear wheel dual motors as standard, with a maximum steering angle of 20 degrees and a turning radius of only 4.62 meters. In addition, both the pure electric and plug-in hybrid models of the Denza Z9GT use CTB battery body integration technology.
Market competition and prospects
The main competitors of the Denza Z9GT in the market include Porsche Taycan, Tesla Model S, NIO ET7 and Enjoy S9. Although most of these competitors only provide pure electric power, the Denza Z9GT provides a richer power selection and has a certain competitive price. Its luxurious configuration and powerful power system give it a unique advantage in the high-end electric sedan market.
